Obszar Metropolitalny Warszawy a rozwój Mazowsza. Wybrane wyniki badań prowadzonych w projekcie „Trendy Rozwojowe Mazowsza”
W artykule zawarto najważniejsze wyniki badań z projektu pod tym samym tytułem, wykonywanego w ramach większego projektu „Trendy Rozwojowe Mazowsza”, realizowanego dla władz samorządowych województwa mazowieckiego w latach 2010?2012. Badano głównie zagadnienia demograficzno-osadnicze oraz kwestie kształtowania się powiązań funkcjonalnych, dostępności przestrzennej, a także infrastrukturalne i użytkowania ziemi. Głównym celem badań było sformułowanie przesłanek rozwojowych, w tym rozpoznanie czynników i uwarunkowań wpływających na prawidłowy przepływ bodźców rozwojowych oraz lepszą efektywność zagospodarowania strefy podmiejskiej i spójność przestrzenną regionu mazowieckiego. Zakres czasowy projektu dotyczył okresu po 1990 r. (diagnoza i retrospekcja) oraz 2030 r. (prognoza). Artykuł ma charakter przeglądowy, relacjonujący wybrane zagadnienia, opublikowane już w obszernej monografii (Śleszyński 2012a), a jego celem jest upowszechnienie najważniejszych wyników badań.
Warsaw Metropolitan Area and the development of Mazovia. The selected results of the research carried on project “The Development Trends of the Mazovia Region”
The paper includes the most important results of the project of the same title, carried out as part of a larger project “The Development Trends of the Mazovia Region”, implemented for the local government of the Mazowieckie voivodship in 2010?2012. It primarily concerned demographic and settlement issues related to the evolution of functional relations and linkages, spatial availability, as well as infrastructure and land use conditions. The main objective was to formulate the conditions which would ensure development, and to identify the factors and conditions that affected easy flow of development stimuli and better efficiency of the suburban zone and spatial cohesion of the Mazovia region. The horizon time of the project concerned the period after 1990 (diagnosis and retrospective study) and 2030 (forecast). The paper has a survey character, it reports on selected topics only, and its aim is to disseminate important research results.
