"Studia Regionalne i Lokalne" (Regional and Local Studies) is a leading Polish quarterly journal in empirical analysis as well as theoretical development in the field of regional and local studies. Founded in 2000, the quarterly is edited by the Centre for European Regional and Local Studies EUROREG (University of Warsaw) and the Polish section of the Regional Studies Association. In the Quarterly we publish papers in Polish and English.
Since issue 2/2021 (published on 10.07.2021) "Studia Regionalne i Lokalne" is an open-access journal published under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, without any publication fees. The costs of publishing the journal are covered by the publisher. The license allows for immediate free access to the work and permits any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purposes that are in accordance with the terms of the license. The contents of all issues can be found in the Archive (free full-text of all articles) or in the CEEOL database.
The Quarterly focuses on economic, social, environmental and political aspects of regional and local development, both from national and international perspectives. Articles published in the journal have to concern urban, local or regional development and/or spatial dimensions of development processes. The authors publishing in the journal represent various disciplines such as economy, geography, spatial economy, sociology, law and administration. We also publish works by officials and representatives of central and local administrations. In issuing the quarterly we would like to refer to the best experiences of the international journal “Regional Studies”, issued by the Regional Studies Association. The Polish section of that organisation is a co-editor of “Studia Regionalne i Lokalne”.
